This ?Exhibition? forms part of my ongoing PHD investigating the tacit value of artist-run initiatives. It is the ?fourth? show of ?? which so far has covered my curatorial project System being given the boot from above a bar to now being based-ish in a former bank in a shopping centre.
This show was meant to be the second half of a two-partner in the XL. But due to a misunderstanding the space wasn’t secured for the first one (my own fault). This only became known to me a few weeks before Christmas, at which point I had to secure another venue. The time spent sorting this meant that this show had to be sandwiched in. Rather than leave the space empty I thought it would be better to offer the space to artists looking to test new work or just get stuff out of the studio.
